Eleanor is a Director at Pawson Law and holds an LLB/BA conjoint degree from the University of Auckland. She is an experienced criminal defence lawyer who regularly appears on serious matters, including cases involving violence, sexual offending, and drugs.

She specialises in discharge without conviction applications and has achieved a high level of success for clients in this area. Eleanor is also very experienced in traffic matters and is known for obtaining excellent results for her clients. She has significant experience as a trial lawyer in both Judge-alone and jury trials.

Eleanor is also Pawson Law’s immigration law specialist and often receives referrals for complex immigration matters. She has experience in military law and advises on a range of licensing matters, including NZTA matters, security Certificates of Approval, and firearms appeals.

She is a Provider Approval Level 3 (PAL 3) Legal Aid lawyer and may be selected as preferred counsel by eligible clients.
